Autumn / Winter '20 Collection
This Autumn Winter, Remus Uomo finds inspiration for the season from Scandanavia and the Nordic nations with practical application of the art of layering, a sophisticated approach to texture, a deft use of colour and a modern take on heritage influences. The season colour palette of core masculine shades of navys, blues, charcoals and greys are well represented throughout the collection and are bolstered by warm autumnal shades of rust, winter berry, camel and wheat and winter-ready shades of ice grey, teal, arctic blue and oxblood.
This season, the resurgence in interest in heritage menswear design influences the brands use of patterns and fabrics. Techniques and fabrics such as Fair Isle, cable knit, tartan, plaid and tweed are all used in colourful and strikingly contemporary ways in our new collection.
A seasonally appropriate take on the continuing floral print trend, this area of the collection takes inspiration from the repeating fine floral patterns of Nordic folk art as well as the bold painterly strokes of artists such as Edvard Munch.
The enduring appeal of checked patterns gets a seasonal shot in the arm with striking modern updates on plaid, tartan and Prince of Wales checks to be seen across all garment types in the new collection.
A core commercial element of the winter collection focuses on the elevated style of party season. Focusing on fabrics with a luxurious feel, bold print shirts which balance darker colours with vibrant patterns and warming winter-ready outerwear – this season’s collection adeptly deciphers the dress code for AW20.
