Our latest collection for spring / summer ’19 balances inspiration from the streamlined design of Silicon Valley and the style of late 50s and early 60’s America.
Although the combination might sound like it’s coming from opposite ends of the cultural spectrum, the influence of the two eras balance each other perfectly to create a bold yet sophisticated take on menswear for the new season. The engineered and structured nature of the tech scene’s influence is given an injection of fun and colour from the retro trend, while the elegant simplicity of Silicon Valley design offsets the brasher elements of the 1950s influence.
The colour palette for the season features core masculine colours such as navy, grey and sky blue but also reflects the bright, pastel shades of the 50s such as meadow green, rose and taffy yellow.
Prints and patterns across the collection are large and bright, with retro stripes a key feature, alongside colour blocking in shirts and knitwear and checks in tailoring and shirting.
Our solid foundations in sharp formal tailoring underpin the introduction of a range of nested three piece suits which are ideal for groomswear or special occasions. Available in soft summer grey, calm baby blue and pale rose colours, these suits also feature a mix of plain and checked fabrics across jackets, waistcoats and trousers – allowing every groom or wedding guest to make an individual style statement this summer.
Incorporating our design-led tailoring into the everyday, this season we’ve introduced a new capsule collection we’re calling “Work+Wear.” This area of the collection offers greater flexibility for the evolving idea of the ‘workplace.’ Jackets are lighter, less structured and offered in calm, summer tones for a fresh take on the office uniform and smart blazers are paired with lightweight casual tops like tees and polos for a way of dressing which blurs the lines between ‘formal’ and 'casual.’
The season’s feature pieces include lightweight casual jackets, bold print shirts and graphic tees, alongside retro-inspired League shirts, double breasted suiting and checked and striped shirts.
