Festival Fever

The summer of 2019 is set to be a great year for home-grown festivals taking place across the UK and Ireland. While everyone’s heard of the likes of Glastonbury and Vfest, we’ve curated a list of our top four festivals that you may not have considered. Whether you’re looking for something closer to home, want to soak up the sun and the sounds at the seaside or make a week of it within the Welsh mountains, we’ve got the event and the outfit for you. Tis’ the festival season!

Belsonic, Northern Ireland

Started in 2008, Northern Irelands very own Belsonic is back for another year, bigger and better than ever. If you don’t want to commit to the full festival experience then this is for you. Based in Belfast’s Ormeau Park, the festival consists of 9 separate 1 day events, running from 12th-28th June 2019, meaning you can pick and choose the acts you want to see and stay in a plush city centre hotel instead of roughing it in a tent. This year the line-up features everything from Slash to Stormzy with other big names like Lewis Capaldi, The Killers and Hozier thrown in for good measure!

As the event takes place outside, in Belfast, in June, a rain coat is crucial! Pair this water resistant casual jacket with some pastel blue chinos and a subtle striped t-shirt and you’re set for whatever the weather brings.

Donegal, a world-renowned surfing area, and running from the 21st-23rd June 2019 the event presents amazing artists as well as surfing events, barefoot volleyball and beach yoga. The 2019 line up boasts the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Sigrid and Jax Jones and to top off your perfect summer seaside weekend you can stay in luxury tents with actual beds and campfires for toasting the odd smore.

Such an event calls for an effortlessly casual, surf-ready look. Combine an essential white tee with a pair of chino shorts and layer over our league shirt as nod to the retro trend.

Rew!nd Festival, Scotland

Who doesn’t want to be transported back to the iconic music of the 80s? Well, with sister festivals taking place in the North and South of England, the Rewind Festival experience is in high demand and it’s easy to see why. There is a wealth of music, comedy and family fun activities, as well as an inflatable chapel that hosts real weddings. Luckily we have a huge range of Summer wedding outfits! The Scottish version, taking place in Scone Palace, Perth from 19th-21st July 2019 is set to play host to legendary performers such as Foreigner and Lulu as well as comedy sets from acts such as Phill Jupitus.

If you’re planning on avoiding the chapel, style this retro rock tee with our suitably casual trouser and blazer combination for a Juke Box hero look.

Green Man, Wales

For a touch of the Boho vibe head to Green Man set in the Brecon Beacons, Wales which is taking place on 15th-18th August 2019. Advertising a range of musical performances, films, literature talks and comedy sets, the festival also plays host to a plethora of visual performers dotted around the site. You can enjoy the mountainous views at the Mountain’s Foot stage while listening to the likes of EX:RE, Marika Hackman and Father John Misty. Additionally, you can book to stay on the campsite for the entire week and use the time to explore the surrounding hillsides, forests and waterfalls that frame the festival.

To compliment the artistic and colourful surroundings, add an abstract patterned shirt to a pair of spring coloured shorts. Finish the look with a casual bomber jacket to help you party into the night!
