Working from home isn't as easy as it sounds. CREATE A MORNING ROUTINE
You know that set routine you have in the morning before you go to the office? Stick to it as best you can. It will set your day up the right way and help you get into the right frame of mind before you start your work.
CREATE A WORK SPACE
As great as working in bed or on the sofa sounds, you won’t be quite as productive there. Create a work space in a free area of your home such as the dining table or the spare room and commit to working there every day.
SET YOUR WORKING HOURS
If you already have regular office hours, it’s best to stick to these while you’re working from home. This makes it easier to maintain the routine that you’re used to and therefore means you’re more likely to stick to this routine. Start at the same time you would usually get to the office and switch off your computer at the same time you usually would too. When working from home it becomes easy to fall into the trip of working longer hours, stick to those working hours and that simply won’t happen.
GET FRESH AIR
Working from home may cut out your morning commute but it doesn’t mean that you should stay indoors all day. Make sure to get your shoes on, get outside and stretch your legs once a day to keep active and stay healthy. Not to mention, you need the fresh air because being cooped up indoors all day just isn’t great for anyone.
